This policy explains what personal data adstars.agency collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only — not any separate service you may have contracted us for, which is governed by the agreement you signed.
Who we are
AdSTARS is a digital agency operating in Cyprus and the United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, including any request about your own data, contact info@adstars.agency or +357 97 436 050.
The registered legal entity behind AdSTARS — company name, registration number and registered address — and which of Cyprus or the UK is the lead establishment. This determines the supervisory authority (the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, or the UK ICO) and whether a UK representative or an EU representative is required.
What we collect, and when
We collect personal data only when you give it to us. There is no account system, no profiling, and no data bought from anyone else.
| Where | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Project enquiry form (/contact) | Name, company, email, phone, website, the services and budget range you select, and your message | To respond to your enquiry and discuss the work |
| Job application form (/careers) | Name, email, phone, a portfolio or LinkedIn link, your CV file, and any message you add | To assess your application for the role you applied to |
| Cookie choice | A record of whether you accepted or declined, stored in your browser | To avoid asking you again on every page |
| Server logs | IP address, browser, requested page, timestamp | Security and diagnosing faults |
Server log retention and where the site is hosted. If the host keeps access logs, they are a processor and must be named here.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- Enquiry and application forms: your consent, given by ticking the box, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- Job applications: your consent, plus steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- Server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you did.
How long we keep it
Retention periods, which are a business decision rather than a drafting one. They are typically stated per purpose — enquiries, unsuccessful applications, and successful ones — and a period invented here would be a commitment AdSTARS never made.
In every case we keep personal data only as long as the purpose it was given for requires, and delete it or anonymise it after that.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us to do any of the following, free of charge, and we will respond within one month.
- Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Delete it, where we have no overriding reason to keep it.
- Restrict or object to what we do with it, including any processing based on legitimate interest.
- Receive it in a portable format, where it was provided by you and processed by consent.
Email info@adstars.agency to exercise any of these. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to a supervisory authority.
Which supervisory authority to name, and its contact details — this follows from the establishment question in the first section.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant we will say so rather than rely on you noticing.
